We are through one round of the 2007 volleyball playoffs and so far, there haven't been too many surprise teams. Cypress Woods, a first year program, advanced past Katy Taylor, but I'm not sure too many people were shocked because Cy Woods has been playing well all season. Clements knocked out Pearland and even though Pearland was the higher ranked team, there is never any way to know who will come out on top when 23-5A teams and 24-5A teams battle because those two districts are really strong

The Cy-Fair Lady Bobcats have a chance to pull off a rare double and win Class 5A state championships in volleyball and basketball in the same calendar year.
The reason? There are two in sisters Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike.
